Brethren. We have had a great year and we're winding down. This month's meeting, on November 7th, will be our election of officers for 2012. We will also have a vote on a change to the bylaws. Please see the copy at the end of this message. Your attendance is hereby requested. We'd like to see our brothers out in support of our new officers.
Last month we were honored to have MW Michael P Sanders join us with several of our brothers from Grand Lodge. They all shared with Alki and the many visitors we welcomed several initiatives currently underway in the Grand Jurisdiction of Washington. It was a very invigorating and fraternal session which included a fantastic meal catered by the sisters of Crown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Also, on October 1, 2011, your WM, accompanied by WB Kent Evans and VWB Scott Wells journeyed north to attend the Installation of Officers of our sister lodge St. John's #21 of Ladysmith, BC. We were well received and enjoyed great food, fellowship, and a fascinating experience of another jurisdiction's practices. Our brothers will be hosting Alki Lodge next summer for our ongoing visitation and I strongly encourage any of you who have not yet made that trip to plan on attending!
On October 26, 2011 we hosted the northern edition of Wednesday Night Lodge. Please come to lodge this November for the results and to hear where the next stop of the traveling trowel will be.
November's stated meeting will feature pulled pork BBQ sandwiches and potato salad from your JW, supplemented by your side dishes. Please email rsvp@alki152.org with your dish and number of attendees so we may plan accordingly.
Here are the rest of the November events for Alki Lodge and our Concordant Bodies:
On a housekeeping note, our Secretary has put together a Lodge Roster. Regrettably, we do not have current phone numbers for many brothers. I hereby request all brothers of Alki Lodge please pause and send a brief email to wm@alki152.org with your current mailing address, email, home and cellular telephone numbers. These will be passed to the Secretary to update our roster.
Brethren, your voices are heard. Please send any feedback, suggestions or concerns to wm@alki152.org and I assure you your support is much appreciated!
Fraternally,
WB Geoff McNeely
