Brethren, Hope you all had a great summer! Alki did. 4th of July picnic, then a visit from our Canadian Brethren, with a spectacular picnic hosted by WB Kent Evens and his lovely bride, picked up the traveling square from the boy's from Ladysmith at the picnic, retrieved our traveling trowel and gavel from Southgate, and got some work done on the Temple. Makes me tired just remembering. Speaking of Canadians. What a GREAT show the RCMP put on at the open air degree at Granite Falls. It was hotter than blazes, but they were dressed to the nines in full regalia and that meant wool coats! Very impressive. It was my first time to experience the AF&AM ritual and I found it very interesting. Some parts were taken by F&AM Brethren, noteably the lecture, delivered by our Grand Master, MWB Gail Kenney. Kudos to the RCMP and our Grand Lodge team. Truly a Grand time was had by all. Can't wait to see what they have planned for next year! Special thank's to the Alki Brethren who helped out with everything over the break, WB Wes Spridgeon, WB Elmer Lindseth, Bro. Michael Mann, WB Kent Evens, and VWB Scott Wells. Join us if you can at our September stated, Labor day, Monday September 7, 2009. Supper at 6:15, labor at 7:30. Hope to see you there.
