Looking forward to the coming months. May will grace us with a visit from our District Deputy, VWB Richard Syson. We await his words of wisdom, fraternal spirit and messages from the Grand Master. June will bring a character portrayal by Past Potentate Richard Kovak. This character portrayal may be of Thomas Jefferson, Albert Pike, John Quincy Adam, Constantine the Great or Jacques de Molay or a surprise. Please plan on attending our May and June meetings. Presently, for April, we will have passed five brothers to the degree of fellowcraft. New masons need good coaches and mentors. Coaches and mentors that have the time, enthusiasm and knowledge to participate in the formation of the new masons views. Our new masons will have several sources of information that create their views of masonry. Starting with their prior view of masonry. Coaches and mentors will clarify the new masons prior view of our organization through education and kindness. These past views will be altered when combined with their new experiences at our dinners, events and of course during rituals. Coaches and mentors influence their minds and hearts. Providing the needed interpretation of the new thoughts and emotions created by our unique beliefs, knowledge and behavior. They provide the new members with much needed relief. Relief from the anxiety of being in an organization that will require memorization. Initially, a coach may be the most familiar face in our room full of strangers. He is the face of our fraternity. Their first source of the fraternalism which we all enjoy.
