Our sincere greetings to one and all. Well, spring time is here and it feels good to see the sunshine again. The Brethren of Alki Lodge No. 152 are just inspired and energized with the different activities we have been doing in the lodge.
We have just concluded the Past Masters Night on March 3, 2008 Stated Meeting. We had a superb dinner prepared by the Order of Eastern Star Crown Chapter and a wholesome entertainment provided by the Shrine Oriental Band. The band’s costume and the foot-tapping music were just fantastic. Thank you all for that great and wonderful service to Masonry.
The meeting was highlighted by MWB Alvin Jorgensen who delivered a very inspiring pitch about communication and how it influences the lives of people and how it is interpreted back in time and now. The Ladies joined us in the Lodge Room on a call off session. The event was culminated with all Past Masters staffing the closing ceremony. It was word perfect and we can feel the sense of pride in them when they took the line that night. There were 22 Past Masters present with some advised us that they were under the weather.
Everybody was greeted with surprise when we all came down from the meeting. The Ladies have prepared us a delicious Filipino noodle (Pansit). Their culinary skills had been enhanced by the cooking demo provided by Sis Imelda Canlas while we were at the lodge room. Everybody took off with full tummy. Wow, what a great night of fellowship.
Alki Lodge No. 152 welcomes our youngest Entered Apprenctice Mason, Bro. Jason Tharpe who was initiated on March 17, 2008.
The Ladies Night in March 19th was another successful event. Catered dinner was provided by the Order of Amaranth, Westgate Court. Sis Nancy Jorgensen graced the event with her eloquent speech. The Ladies were entertained by the undiscovered local singers; the brothers, sisters and daughters of Alki Lodge No. 152. Our sincere thanks to them for that wonderful evening of fun and excitement.
Our Crab Feed Event in March 29th was quite well attended and considered a treat. Our appreciation to those who attended and enjoyed the bountiful Dungeness crab meal. Proceeds of this fundraiser support the chartering of a new DeMolay Chapter in West Seattle area.
