April Monitor Entry

Our last stated meeting was eventful. We balloted on three EAs. Presented a 50 year pin and the Hiram Award. VWB Dick Bish presented some history of masonic aprons and artifacts in the GL museum. The aprons that he displayed were interesting and unique. It was also our Past Masters Night. It was pleasing to be visited by some masters that hadn’t visited us for a while. In attendance was Past Master VWB Boyd Jackson. Who we hadn’t seen for sometime due to health issues. It was especially rewarding for me to see him again. As members we can all think back to a time before we were masons. We visited a lodge where we knew no one. Boyd was the Santa Clause at the Christmas Party the lodge held six years ago. The warmth and kindness he showed them, caught my interest. Enough so that it contributed to my first steps in Masonry. Now, as Master, it was moving to see him in my Lodge. As stated in our last issue, we will be having a Steak and Spaghetti Feed on Saturday April 3RD. Our visit to Mark P Watermans candlelight meeting was fun, as expected. Wednesday April 8th we will attend Wednesday Night Lodge in Tacoma. Our Bikes for Books and School Awards Programs are in good hands and moving along well. I urge members of the Lodges to make sure the ladies feel appreciated. Meals have been an integral part of masonry since the beginning of time. The ladies, through their effort , make them especially rewarding. Remember, we are a volunteer organization. Take the time to visit with them in the kitchen or elsewhere. They deserve it. Please visit us at any of our functions. Of course our stated on Monday April 5th. We would like to see your smiling faces.
